Be a Kind Runner

Standard

There is an exciting new website launching on 6/1 called kindrunner.com.  The idea behind the site is simple.  As runners, we have to buy shoes.  Lots of shoes.  Especially when we are training for a race.  And of course, the larger runners out there, like me, tend to be even rougher on shoes and thus, require even more shoe purchases.  This can leave a very large burden on the environment because a typical pair of shoes takes between 90 and 100 years to begin to decompose.  Or, if you are like me, these shoes just pile up in your closet because you think you will find a use for them, even though we all know that this will not happen.

Kindrunner is shoe store with a mission.  You will still receive expert advice and assistance with shoe orders, but there is an added bonus.  If you trade in your old shoes, you will receive cash/credit towards the purchase of new shoes.  You are going to buy new shoes anyway, and you need to do something with your old shoes, so why not get paid to do so while helping those in need?

And what is happening with these old shoes?  They are being donated to those less fortunate than us.  We may have maxed out the mileage on our shoes for running, but there is plenty of life left in them for someone that has no shoes.  Soles 4 Souls and the More Foundation are a couple of examples of where your shoe donation will be going.

Even though the site does not launch until June 1, Kindrunner is having several giveaways on their various social media platforms.  One example is for every 500 “likes” on Facebook, Kindrunner will be giving away a selected pair of running shoes to one lucky Facebook fan and a running partner of their choice, provided that the running partner is also a Facebook fan.

  1. Sounds like a good idea as long as the prices sre still competitive. I always use the net to shop around for the best price, so unless the price was close I probably wouldn’t use them and just put my shoes in thr charity shoe bank.

    • Very good point. I have no clue what the prices will be, but I will definitely be keeping a close eye on that as well. Thanks for your input!

  2. No worries Fearless Feet,
First of all I would like to pint out that if price is important to you, you will love kind runner.com. Most products will have two prices. The Free 3 Way Shipping Price ™ and the Confident Runner Price ™. In either case, Kindrunner suggests you return both the packaging materials and a pair of your old shoes and you will receive a $10 Kindness Cash Rewards ™ credit. It does stop there. In addition, the CRP is a lower priced option for more experienced runners who already know what they want and do not need free return shipping. You can still return a product if you would like, but when you choose CRP you get a more desirable price in exchange for being a Confident Runner. I hop you like Kindrunner.com and find our expert staff product reviews informative and entertaining.

Thank you very much for all of your feedback and positive comments!
    Kindrunner Mike
